POSITION: Marketing Coordinator/Director
JOB DUTIES: Organize an advanced and detailed database of technology companies, along with writing detailed descriptions of their technical offerings. Contact senior-level technology executives for participation in various panel discussions and seminars for the company, including development of ideas for technology-focused panel discussions and development of prospective speakers. Work directly with the company's journalists to help the company expand the technology employment and marketplace section of the company's Internet publications, utilizing knowledge of the Internet, technology trends and details about the various types of technical positions that are regularly advertised in technical publications. Design, develop and present complex, competitive matrix and trend reports to study financial dimensions of marketing decisions. Update various marketing web pages for the company using HTML and web publishing platforms. Oversee the layout of the company's HTML newsletters. Utilize understanding of the specific market sector and technology offerings of firms for marketing strategy development, synthesizing complex technical offerings. Develop the company's marketing strategy to technology companies and develop database products aimed at technology companies. Develop the marketing strategy of the database product.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Marketing and Information Systems or a closely related discipline and six (6) months of experience in the Job Offered or six (6) months of experience in technical marketing.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Experience must include DreamWeaver, FrontPage, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Flash; Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Outlook; Visual Basic, HTML and SQL; Access and Oracle databases; and research methodologies within the telecom & media industry, both in consumer markets as well as government sector. This experience may be gained concurrently or through academic coursework. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
SALARY: $49,005/year; 40 hours/week; 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
